Taking the first step toward change isn’t easy—but you’ve already done it by starting your search for a therapist.
Now, I invite you to take the next step and schedule your first appointment. Whether that’s with me or another provider, what matters most is that you commit to investing in yourself.
You deserve support, healing, and a space where you can grow. If you’re ready, I’m here to walk alongside you. My focus is on helping individuals clarify their vision for the future while building on their existing strengths to foster growth, resilience, and lasting change. I take a motivational and strengths-based approach to counseling, offering encouragement and support as you navigate your path through life’s challenges.
Hello and welcome! I’m Toni LaZurs, and I’m excited to meet you.
I’m originally from New Orleans and grew up in Southern California. I earned my B.A. in Criminal Justice (with minors in Sociology and Psychology) and later an M.A. in Social Sciences from CSU Fullerton. After teaching and advising students, I discovered my passion for counseling, which led me to earn an M.Ed. in Counseling from Sam Houston State University. I’m now a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor in Texas.
I’ve spent the past 14 years working with students with learning differences and building my private practice. I primarily support teens and young adults navigating challenges at school, home, or through family changes, and I also coach recent graduates facing career uncertainty.
I’m a mom to twin daughters (age 30) and enjoy spending time with them and my mom, who lives with me. In my free time, I love reading, movies, jazz and hip hop, shopping, and bowling.
I look forward to meeting you!
