I am an over-the-top passionate millennial therapist who LOVES helping children, adolescents, and young adults navigate the complexities of their emotional and behavioral well-being. I hold deep-rooted values for empathy, patience, trust, and collaboration with clients and parents. I create a nurturing, relatable, and nonjudgmental space where minds can feel heard and understood. By actively listening and demonstrating genuine care, I foster a solid therapeutic alliance that empowers my clients to explore and feel their emotions, develop coping and interpersonal strategies, overcome challenges, and experience healing.
I am a warm and creative counselor dedicated to helping clients reach their full potential. I enjoy working with individuals ages 3 through adulthood, guiding them on their mental health journey through empathy, collaboration, and goal setting. By using research-based practices, I strive to empower each person to grow, heal, and become the best version of themselves.
I have been working as an LPC since 2015. I was fully licensed in 2018 and have been working with individuals since then. I really enjoy working with pre-teens, teens and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, diagnosed or undiagnosed ADHD, and those experiencing change or transitions in life. My master's degree is in clinical psychology. I am certified through Texas Tech in applied behavioral analysis.
I have a Ph.D in Counseling. I've been a therapist since 1984 and I listen very well. I help clients with anxiety, depression and relationship issues and more.
Clients describe me as someone who’s compassionate, but who will “tell it like it is.” I believe that most problems in our relationships and well-being come from unmet needs in childhood. I help my clients learn to heal through mindfulness, reparenting, and finding a sense of safety through Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) or somatic therapy. At the same time, we need to identify and challenge negative beliefs that we have about ourselves and the world. This is a process called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Through therapy, we can develop self-awareness, healthy boundaries, and assertive communication. These are skills we can all learn to help us feel better and work towards the life and healthy relationships we want.

Hello, and welcome. I’m Teresa Draper, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Originally from Miami, my master’s in Clinical Psychology was a product of my understanding of how mental health can impact a person or family. These experiences shaped my career, allowing me to provide help to clients navigating difficult obstacles while implementing skills to allow them to live a happy and thriving life. I welcome challenges and don’t scare easily, having been well-versed in trauma work, and I'm here to help clients reach their goals and live better for themselves and the people they love. This world is a world of uncertainty; the only thing that is constant is change. When someone wants to change or embrace the changes they are going through, I am here to help them tackle the changes head-on.
Starting my practice in a community setting, I've worked with children, adolescents, and families across the mental health spectrum. I understand how trauma and abuse can impact a person’s livelihood, and I'm passionate about working with individuals who struggle with anger management, depression, anxiety, trauma, and recovery. I think that therapy should be a relationship based on trust and honesty, because change is hard. It can often bring about unwanted or negative feelings, and it's important that you have someone to support you and help to uplift you throughout the changes you are going through.
