Hello, my name is Caleb Valentin a mental health therapist born and raised in New York City. I've been in the mental health field for 7+ years and have specialized in working with a number of therapeutic modalities. These include but aren't limited to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. I have an extensive history of working with a number of different demographics including the LGBTQIA+ community, victims of sexual and physical assault, as well as emerging young adults transitioning in their lives.
I obtained my MSW at Hunter College in NY. I am licensed in both New York and DC. My clinical training consists of extensive experience with children, teens, families and young adults in the Greater New York City area. I treat clients experiencing anxiety, depression, family conflict, interpersonal problems and behavioral problems.
s a therapist and creativity enthusiast, I believe healing begins when we reshape negative thinking and learn to cultivate gratitude. Together, we’ll explore your inner strengths and uncover a more resilient and joyful you. In our collaborative sessions, you’ll benefit from a thoughtful blend of approaches-including CBT, Gestalt, humanistic, and Jungian transpersonal methods - tailored to align with your personal values and goals. You’ll leave with practical tools to reframe negative patterns, build emotional resilience, and nurture a mindset of gratitude. My role is to guide and empower you—every step of the way.
My passion is helping people navigate anxiety, depression, and life transitions across the lifespan. I support those facing challenges in young adulthood, work stress, self-confidence struggles, impostor syndrome, relationship and family conflict, parenting, retirement, and the search for meaning at every stage of life. Don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!
