Welcome and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. As a licensed therapist practicing in both California and New York, I believe deeply in the inherent resilience and transformative potential within every individual. I earned my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University. Throughout my clinical practice, I have supported clients across all life stages in navigating complex emotional challenges, including trauma, anxiety, and depression, while empowering them to cultivate healthy, fulfilling interpersonal relationships.
Is your trauma, PTSD, anxiety & grief constantly getting activated? Do you feel like you can never get beyond what has happened to you? Together we will create a warm, compassionate, and understanding environment to help you get in touch and learn how to deal with the rollercoaster of emotions. I have developed a unique approach through building the therapeutic relationship to work with individuals struggling with stress, relationships, depression, anxiety, trauma response, and self- harm. My clinical experience, calm demeanor, and aspiration for trust, help build meaningful relationships with clients through exploration of life. I have been a clinical social worker since 2017 and have a life long history of working with children and families. My career as a social worker has taken me on many paths including child welfare, crisis response teams, hospital emergency room response, medical clinic behavioral health, hospice (most spiritual work ever), and meanwhile have always had my private pratice. I love to incorporate animal assisted therapy as who doesn't love dogs and horses? My speciality is working with trauma and I am constantly training to have the most up to date skills and be the best in my field.
I work with adults 55 and older who are dealing with big life changes — illness, caregiving, grief, retirement, or simply finding themselves in a chapter they didn’t plan for.
A lot of my clients come in because something has shifted. A diagnosis. A loss. The exhaustion of caring for someone else. Or that feeling of, “This isn’t the life I pictured.”
I’ve worked for many years alongside palliative care teams and with people living with serious illness. I understand how overwhelming medical decisions, uncertainty, and anticipatory grief can be.
I also know loss personally. My husband died after a battle with cancer, and rebuilding my own life changed how I sit with others. I don’t just understand this work professionally — I’ve lived parts of it.
Most of the people I see aren’t looking for years of therapy. They want a place to sort through what’s happening, get steadier, and figure out what comes next. We usually work together for a focused stretch — anywhere from a few sessions to a few months.
We meet by telehealth. It’s simple and private, and I’ll handle the logistics.
I have personal and professional experience working with cancer patients and chronic illness. I am EMDR trained and trauma informed. I like to be creative and collaborative when working with exposure in relation to OCD, Depression and Anxiety.
I am a clinical psychologist licensed in California and Illinois, and can see clients from both states. I have worked with clients in the areas of depression, anxiety, relationships issues, addictions, stress management, sport and performance, bipolar disorder, and binge eating disorder. My therapy style is personable, connected, focused, and attuned.
I have been an alcohol and drug counselor for over 20 years and a therapist for almost 10. I love assisting people with all mental health needs including anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic illness, parenting and also those that just need some to talk to.
As a psychotherapist that have been in practice for 12 years, I believe prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and stability in life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step!
