Hi There, thank you for stopping by my page! I am a LPC who practices virtually in Texas. I see individuals ( 18 +) and couples. I have been practicing for over 4 years in this field through a holistic, mindfulness based, and trauma informed lens.
With 3+ years of experience providing counseling services to adolescents and adults, I have been able to cultivate and expand my expertise and knowledge in this field. I received my BS in Psychology from the University of Houston. I later received her M.Ed. in Counseling & Development from Lamar University. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief issues.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania in 2020. Since then, I’ve worked with children and adults facing depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and some substance use, also at a psychiatrist hospital and with youth in the juvenile system. I’m a first-generation Nigerian American and the creative “black sheep” of my family. I bring empathy, authenticity, and individuality into my therapy practice, helping clients heal and grow.
I’m Megan, and I help people reconnect- whether that’s with your partner, your purpose, your people, or yourself.
I’m not the kind of therapist who stares at you and nods for an hour. I’m a real person, just like you—with a sense of humor, a healthy dose of empathy, and a deep respect for how hard life can get sometimes. I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist, which is a fancy way of saying that I’m a therapist wired to help you untangle complex emotional knots in your relationships, trauma, and all the nuanced ways disconnection shows up in our lives.
I’ve been doing this work for over a decade, and in that time, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside a lot of people as they navigate some of the most difficult and meaningful parts of their lives. My background includes extensive work with military veterans and couples—two groups of people who often carry a lot, sometimes silently. For many, it’s hard to name- but it’s heavy.
Marla earned her graduate degree in counseling from LeTourneau University. She has been married for 31 years and is a proud mother of three children, one son-in-law and a grandson to be. In her free time, she enjoys traveling spending time with loved ones, singing, reading, now skiing, and cooking.
Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Virginia, and I’m passionate about supporting adults on their journey toward healing and well-being. With a master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and over seven years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals navigate challenges like anxiety, depression, and other life stressors.
