As a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, I am passionate about personal growth, both physically and mentally. I find balance through movement, whether it's walking my dogs, hiking, or riding my horses.
Hello, I'm Stacey Hernandez, and I specialize in grief and loss, anxiety, depression, anxiety, stress management, and trauma, with 14 years of experience in counseling in various settings, such as school settings, children's bereavement center, and rape crisis center. I am dedicated to providing personalized care and support to each client.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of helping numerous individuals achieve improved mental health, enhanced coping skills, and increased self-awareness.
I graduated from UMHB with my M.A. in Counseling in 2023 and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2025. I have worked with children, teens, and adults for the last 2 years and have had a passion for group therapy as well.
As your therapist, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and supported. I bring a warm, collaborative approach to our work together, and I truly believe in the power of therapy to create meaningful change. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to give you practical tools that you can apply in your daily life. You don’t have to have it all figured out. We’ll navigate things at your pace, and I’ll be here to support you every step of the way.
I attended Slippery Rock University for my bachelors degree and then The Ohio State University for my masters in social work degree. I have worked with a wide variety of individuals from children to geriatric populations; new moms and infants and everything in between. I love pulling different techniques from different modalities however, my favorite treatment modality is EMDR.
Example: "I have always wanted a job where I was of service to others, but I didn't know how to channel that into a career until I took an introduction to psychology course in college. We learned a lot about mental illness, what causes it and different ways to treat it, which inspired me to pursue my degree. I loved the idea of helping others overcome mental illness and helping them achieve their life goals."
Audrena Kelley, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder/owner of For You I Will Services & Consulting, PLLC who is also entering her final year of her Doctorate of Social Work program. As a social work professional, I've worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and socioeconomic status. Individuals ages 18 and older are only being accepted at this time.
I enjoy working with people of color and others of diverse backgrounds to help them navigate through the life events that contribute to depression, anxiety, adjustment challenges, or any other emotional irregularities that affect their ability to function the way they want to.
