I'm Amy and I live in the Austin Metro Area. My background is primarily in Autism/Developmental Disabilities, Chronic Health Issues, Caregiver Support, Anxiety and Depression.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about helping children, teens, adults, and families heal and grow. My approach integrates trauma-informed and evidence-based methods, including EMDR, TF-CBT, and parent-child work to strengthen relationships and promote resilience. At Bending Willows Wellness, we believe in the power of flexibility and perseverance—helping clients “bend” rather than break through life’s challenges. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can explore, heal, and move toward a more fulfilling and authentic life.
My name is Charity! I am a Licensed Therapist who believes that we must work on the whole person and not just parts to achieve our individual goals. I am versatile with my approach using spirituality as well as psychological premises. I believe that there is life after life starts lifing!
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner dedicated to working with each individual to achieve emotional wellness through personalized care. I do provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management tailored to each patient's needs. My clinical focus includes anxiety disorders, mood disorders, depression, panic attacks, stress, trauma, PTSD, insomnia, emotional regulation, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. I apply a collaborative and culturally sensitive approach while ensuring patients feel comfortable and actively involved in their treatment. I see patients throughout Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico via telehealth, telepsychiatry, and online psychiatrist services.
I graduated from Texas Woman's University with a BSN; University of Calgary, Canada, MSN, Grand Canyon University AGACNP; and Walden University, PMHNP. Altogether, I have been in the healthcare profession for 18 years. I have worked in hospitals, long-term care, nursing homes, and home health services. All these experiences inform my care delivery to patients in any setting. I have cared for pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric populations. Also, I have experience as a hospitalist and in internal medicine with oncology patients.
Great to meet you!
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and stability in life. Asking for help can be one of the toughest challenges, so congratulations on taking that first step! I’ve been practicing for 10 years, and my main focus are adult clients who are struggling with PTSD, anxiety and depression.
Not all wounds are visible, therapy is a way to heal from within. I provide support through the process of mental health wellness to address anxiety, anger, addiction, depression, work stress, relationship conflicts or adjusting to the challenges of life. Together, we will work on strategies that allow you to address the root causes of your difficulties.
