I have a genuine passion for working to help others find the tools they need to live a fulfilling and happy life. I have over 20 years of experience working with individuals, families, and couples navigating life’s challenges. My specialties include supporting people struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship stress, family conflict, and trauma. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and I use an eclectic approach—drawing from multiple evidence-based therapies to meet your unique needs. Clients often describe me as warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. My goal is to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where you feel understood and supported as we work toward meaningful change.
Finding a therapist who truly understands your world can make all the difference. I work with women, especially Black women, who are tired of settling for relationships that don’t meet their needs and are ready to rediscover their worth. I also have over 20 years of experience supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing clients, helping them navigate the unique challenges that can come with communication barriers, isolation, and cultural misunderstandings. Clients describe me as direct, compassionate, and down-to-earth.
Before I ever attended college, I found I enjoyed helping people with fitness training and herbs. After homeschooling for several years, I obtained a teachers license and found I preferred working one on one. I enjoy helping people become successful in life. I offer faith based, and integrated health counseling for a holistic touch.
Therapy is a deeply personal journey. It is one that is unique to each individual. Whether we meet weekly or biweekly, I encourage my clients to bring the aspects of life they’d like to explore and grow through. Together, we can uncover the roots of your struggles and develop ways to navigate discomfort and pain. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. It’s tailored to your needs, whether that means working through a specific challenge—feeling stuck, sad, or angry—or simply gaining a deeper understanding of yourself.
