As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe therapy is for everyone. I have spent time working in high schools, hospice, and hospitals where I have had the opportunity to support adults, families, and Veterans. I am focused on supporting adults ages 18 and up struggling with transitions, life stressors, anxiety, and depression.
What is your approach to therapy?
I believe that therapy is most effective when it is a collaborative partnership tailored to your unique story. My style is warm, holistic, and integrative. Because I am trained in both Clinical Social Work and Christian Theology (Masters of Divinity), I view health through a wide lens—considering not just your thoughts and behaviors, but also your values, your community, and the physical way your body carries stress.
My goal is to help you move from a place of "just getting by" to a place where you feel grounded, resilient, and authentically yourself.
My educational background includes a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from The University of Texas of the Permian Basin and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in TX, CO, and PA, and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in ME, as well as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in OH.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania. I received my Masters of Social Services from The Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research at Bryn Mawr College (2019). I received my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Binghamton University, SUNY (2012). I am trained and have been certified as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (2021), and as a Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapist (2024). I am certified in Yoga RYT-200(2014), and in Reiki 1 and 2 (2012).
This is your journey - you’re driving, I’m sitting in the passenger seat to provide some direction when needed. Therapy is whatever you want it to be and I’m here for it! It’s not about my agenda or what I think you should work on. Just showing up for a session in an authentic way is productive. I have experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds with a wide variety of issues including anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, and psychosis as well as interpersonal and relationship issues.
If you've spent a long time handling everything on your own, the idea of opening up in therapy can feel uncomfortable — maybe even a little vulnerable. You might be stuck in your head, second-guessing yourself, or repeating patterns you can't quite break no matter how hard you try. You don't need to have it all figured out before you reach out. You just need a willingness to start, and I'll meet you right there.
Are you feeling stuck in patterns you can't break, overwhelmed by anxiety, or recovering from relationships that left lasting scars? My name is Meghan and I am a licensed professional counselor in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and owner of Inner Light Counseling & Wellness. I help adults navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, difficult life transitions, and recover from narcissistic abuse.
My approach is warm and grounded in proven therapies tailored to your unique needs. Together, we'll identify areas of focus and set goals that matter to you, such as building self-esteem, improving relationships, and breaking unhealthy habits.
Taking that first step toward a more fulfilling, balanced life takes courage, and you don’t have to do it alone! I’m here to guide and empower you through each phase of your journey.
