My name is Amanda and I've been licensed as an LPC for over 13 years. I absolutely love mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy strategies. I love helping others to free selves from inner turmoil and live healthy lifestyle. I enjoy working with those in toxic and abusive relationships to assist in setting boundaries and reclaiming control of their lives.
I look forward to meeting with you to help you to identify and understand your problems. I will guide you through healthy coping, self-care, and improved relationships.
I work primarily with adults facing challenges related to depression, anxiety, grief, illness, and relationships. While I've supported clients across all age groups over the past 20+ years, my focus is on helping adults navigate life's difficulties with a practical, strength-based, and solution-focused approach. I emphasize the here and now, exploring how past experiences, habits, and patterns of thinking may hold us back.
It’s exhausting to live a life that feels more like a performance than an experience. You may feel heavy with the weight of "doing"—meeting expectations while losing the quiet essence of "being." Whether navigating the hollow ache of loss, the fog of depression, or the echoes of trauma, I know how it feels to be a stranger to yourself. Therapy begins when you decide you can no longer just "push through." We move forward by creating space for your pain to be heard. It's a journey of reclamation: stripping away the noise to rediscover the resilient, authentic soul that has been waiting for you all along.
At my core, I am a humanist, existentialist, and a proponent of unconditional self-compassion. I have a strong skill set working with older teens and young adults but love working with all humans in general. Other therapeutic areas of strength would be trauma, personality disorders, gender and sexuality, parenting, relationships, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder and ADHD.
