Welcome! I’m Ashley, and I’m passionate about supporting clients on their journey toward healing and growth. I have over nine years of clinical experience working with children, teens, adults, and families. I specialize in trauma-informed care as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). My background includes a Master’s in School Counseling where I gained internship experience in both elementary and high school settings. I support individuals navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship challenges, trauma, grief/loss, and women’s issues. While I have worked with clients of all backgrounds, I do also offer Christian counseling, if requested, for those who wish to incorporate faith into the therapeutic process.
I have been providing outpatient therapy in Wilmington NC for 20 years. I work with families, children, adolescents, adults, and couples. I am experienced treating people with depression, anxiety, school issues, relationship issues, difficult family dynamics, couples issues, and parenting difficulties. My approach is empowering and non threatening as well as solution focused and goal oriented. I will help people build on their strengths to improve their lives
With over 15 years of experience, I have worked with children, adults, and families in diverse roles (counseling, education, disability services, healthcare, and social services). These experiences have equipped me with versatility and empathy towards the various challenges faced by individuals (spouses, parents, caregivers & employees). Currently, my focus is on clients ages 18 - geriatric who are dealing with anxiety/depression stemming from stress, life transitions, relationships, and trauma.
I am a safe space for children, adolescents, and families to discuss their experiences, stressors, and trauma. I am passionate about improving the well-being of children and their families during our work together.
