Are you feeling overwhelmed and find yourself having difficulty focusing on completing daily tasks? Are the people closest to you concerned about your ability to maintain and stay afloat? Have you found that once you finally get a chance to relax, you are left with exhaustion and racing thoughts with increased worry?
I specialize in mental health needs of the BIPOC (black, indigenous people of color) community. I provides therapy to people who are facing depression, anxiety, traumatic events, racism, death and dying, chronic illness, loss and grief, abuse, violence, and acculturation. I also facilitate specialized support groups associated to workplace trauma.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with seven years of clinical experience working in outpatient mental health clinics. I know that it was not easy to get to the point you are at today but you are not alone! My goal is to support you in living the life that makes you feel happy and satisfied.
I specialize in working with young adults (20's & 30's) who are navigating the unique challenges of early adulthood. I also have a background in addiction counseling including gambling and significant other support.
If you don't see the availability you are looking for, we can discuss this during our 15 minute phone consultation.
I work with artists of all backgrounds regarding struggles around creativity and self expression. I offer an affirming, safe space for people who identify as POC and LGBTQIA+ to explore their identities and deconstruct their own narrative within the larger lens of society. I treat both individuals, and couples, ranging from ages 15-40+.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative environment where you can explore what’s been weighing on you and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
I believe the client is the expert of their experience and aim to meet them where they are. I open my heart and expertise to create a gentle sanctuary full of empathy for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. Therapy can be awkward and scary at times; it works best when there is collaborative and trusting relationship to help clients in areas of need, while empowering them to use their strengths and learn tools to overcome difficulties. Therapy can also be rewarding a self-reflecting process, and I am honored to be a part of it for any period.
