Welcome! First and foremost, I am honoring you for taking this step. You're ready for a change. There's a craving for deep healing on your journey towards wellness. You want to gain understanding and insight, resolve inner conflicts, improve relationships, explore unconscious patterns, and transform into the most empowered version of yourself. You may be looking for tools for self-regulation, as well as ways to integrate your mind, body, and heart. If you've been grappling with larger questions about yourself or your life and are ready to take the next step, you've come to the right place.
Bruised Not Broken Therapy was born out of the lack of Afrocentric based psychotherapy that allowed people of color to embrace their journey of life through the context of color. HIV, substance abuse, mental health and the denial of the experience of being a person of color continues to plague communities of color, as we still have yet to talk about these experiences.
Taking the first step toward healing is a courageous act, and I’m here to support you on this journey. Whether you’re navigating challenges like depression, anxiety, substance use, relationship difficulties, or life stress, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore your needs. Together, we’ll identify your goals and work toward building the clarity, confidence, and balance you deserve.
People return to or start therapy with me after having a relapse, loss, or trauma flare-up. I help people through addiction, grief, trauma, relationships, parenting challenges, life transitions, gender issues, anxiety and depression. I am a licensed addiction counselor and mental health therapist. My presence is direct but warm. My approach is individualized and includes a combination of somatic awareness, parts work, mindfulness, recovery programming, DBT, therapy in nature, ceremony & ritual, and neuroscience. I also offer psychedelic-assisted therapy and coaching. Every human has the capacity to make change in their own life.
I’m a somatic therapist specializing in helping people understand and regulate their nervous systems, especially those who struggle with body awareness, sensory overload, and emotional regulation. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, burned out, disconnected from their bodies, or stuck in survival mode without fully understanding why.
I’m also a neurodivergent (AuDHD) therapist who works with late-diagnosed ADHD, autistic, and AuDHD adults. I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work, which allows me to understand firsthand the challenges of sensory overload, overwhelm, and identity shifts that often accompany neurodivergence.
I support clients navigating major life transitions—such as adjusting to a diagnosis, rethinking identity, navigating relationships, or making decisions about parenting—along with associated grief, burnout, and nervous system dysregulation. I also work with clients processing trauma or grief related to earlier life experiences.
My work integrates somatic therapy, EMDR, TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and brainspotting to help clients process stress and build regulation skills. My goal is to create a space where clients feel understood, seen, and able to reconnect with their body in ways that feel safe and sustainable.
You might look like you're holding it all together on the outside, but inside feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. Maybe you're overthinking, struggling in relationships, or navigating a life transition that feels harder than expected.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience in both outpatient therapy and hospital-based crisis work, including emergency department settings. I work with adults navigating anxiety, relationship stress, and life transitions, especially those who are used to being the “strong one” for others but are ready for space to slow down and feel supported.
My background includes working with a wide range of emotional and relational concerns, and I aim to create a space where you can step out of your day-to-day roles and focus on yourself in a way that feels grounded, supportive, and meaningful.
It is an honor for me to work with people who have courage to reach out for support. My service is really unique because we offer, besides in person and virtual counseling, my herd of 6 equines to support you in finding peace of mind and quality of life . I specialize in a number of evidence-based psychotherapeutic techniques .
I believe in helping others reach their potential and the best versions of themselves. I believe therapy is a partnership to encourage healing and growth and I aim to see clients for their individuality and personal experiences. I have a PhD in family studies and intervention strategies in addition to completing my Registered Play Therapist certificate. I specialize in creative techniques to work with autism, anxiety, anger/impulse management, depression, and trauma.
