Hello, I'm Dr. Sebastian Vasilescu, a board-certified psychotherapist (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist). In a collaborative approach, I help guide clients work through the many reasons why they arrive at therapy. Clients seem to have a very clear goal of bettering their lives, and I strive to make this happen by helping clients free themselves to heal relationally, both in and out of the therapy room. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, & families with varying presenting issues, including anxiety, depression, family of origin issues, marginalized oppression, relationship issues, and addiction.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by trauma, anxiety, grief or loss? Maybe you’re carrying pain from past experiences that still show up in your body, relationships, or sense of self. You don’t have to navigate this alone. I specialize in working with adults who are processing trauma, grief, and significant life transitions. Whether you’re grieving the death of a loved one, the loss of a relationship or pet, identity, or sense of safety, therapy can be a place where your experiences are met with compassion, patience, and understanding.
I am branching out to the clinical side of social work, and I enjoy meeting and helping new people. I try to always look at situations from the 'how can I help' mindset. I have primarily been treating children with anxiety and depression but also enjoy working with adults. I help clients identify tools to use to reduce stress and anxiety in their lives. Together, we’ll create a safe, supportive space where you can better understand your thoughts and feelings, begin to process what’s weighing on you, and develop the tools needed to feel more balanced, confident, and in control of your life.
Therapy is for anyone and not a one-size-fits-all routine. I believe in working alongside clients to determine the best path forward. A safe space will always be provided but growth comes from discomfort and admitting to how we exist outside of what may be considered normal.
I provide compassionate, strengths-based therapy to support individuals navigating life’s most difficult seasons, including trauma, major life transitions, and grief. My approach centers on helping clients feel seen, supported, and empowered as they work through emotional challenges and move toward healing and resilience.
I specialize in grief and loss, adjustment to terminal illness, and anxiety. Using process-oriented and compassion-focused counseling techniques, I help clients explore their experiences at a deeper level while developing practical tools for emotional balance and self-understanding. I am also trained in Brainspotting, an evidence-based trauma therapy that supports clients in processing deep emotional pain and unresolved trauma in a safe and supportive environment.
My goal is to create a therapeutic space where clients feel understood, respected, and encouraged to grow at their own pace.
